1st Game At ONU

Philip's first game of the season was played on Thursday At Ohio Northern University. They are a Christian college located in Ada Ohio. Since they played at 3:00 in the afternoon it was the first NCAA game in the nation played this season.

The Ohio Northerns are the Polar Bears and are currently ranked 11th in the nation.

They have a nice new stadium.

Philip is #63 on the left getting some last minute instructions before hitting the field.

He's in there somewhere.

Out on the field for defense.

Heading back out.
Holding a one point lead at half time!
The game ended with us down by two touch downs but it was a great game.

Both teams gathered on the field for a prayer after the game.

Looking forward to a fun season!

Kara and I decided to stop in Chicago and see a Cubs game at Wrigley Field on our way home.

Wrigley Field is one of the oldest stadiums in the country but has a great atmosphere. We met a lot of fun Chicago people.

I've heard of the Ivy Wall but I didn't realise the outfield wall is actually covered with ivy.

The buildings across the street have bleachers on their roofs.

This score board isn't exactly a Jumbo Tron!

No trip to Chicago would be complete with out a stop at an Irish Pub!

This is the view from our hotel window of the sky line and Lake Michigan. If you ever want to do a road trip to Chicago we'll come along!

State Fair With Bob & Carolyn

Sunday Kara & I went to the State Fair with Bob and Carolyn. The weather was perfect and the food was delicious!

First stop was to check out the music at the Leinie Lodge.

Now that we worked up an appetite we pick up some Fajita flavored beef tips. HOT STUFF!

Nothing like a little ice cream to cool us off.

On to the DNR pond to check out all of the fish.

You guessed it, that calls for more ice cream!

Time to take a load off our feet.

And have a cold one!

How about a walleye sandwich.

And walleye on a stick to finish off another "Great Minnesota Get Together"!
