Chad & Megans New House

We visited Chad and Megan at their new home in Windsor, Colorado. It is beautiful. We will never get tired of looking at the mountains out their windows or taking a walk around their lake.

It wasn't all fun and games this weekend ~ Chad had a few chores to do (hanging living room curtains).

Chad's "man cave" (basement family room).

Bevo likes his new home!

They have the coolest looking "rock" window wells.

There are 6 bald eagles hanging out on their lake right now. Beautiful!

A great place to barbeque with the mountain view (cloudy in this picture)

Doug's B-Day In Texas

Well I see I started this blog about our trip to Texas back in February and then never finished it, so I'm just going to throw it up unedited. The snow was about three feet deep in minnesota so it sure was nice to see sun, sand & the beautiful ocean!

Poor Doug had to wear all the goofy party stuff we threw at him. He was a good sport!

"The Nook" Restaurant

There is a tiny restaurant in St. Paul called The Nook. It was a featured spot on "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" two years ago for there awesome burgers. So off we went to try it!

The place was packed since it was just on TV. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, but the food was so good it was worth the wait! This is January 2008

This is January 2010, back to see if they still had the best burgers in town. It was packed again!

All the way down there nobody would believe me that Barbara Streisand had been there. Wouldn't you know it, we were seated at a table right by her autographed picture!

They never said they had good service. (but they really do)

Kara seemed to get along with our server!

YES IT IS!

Rolf thinks it was worth the wait!
A "Got To Have" souvenir! :) If your ever looking for a great place to eat I'll take you there!

Ice Fishing 2010

Ok, It's been a while since I've posted anything but the ice fishing just has not produced the trophey fish I was hoping to blog about. My first trip out was a disaster when i dropped my cell phone down the hole in 22' of water. (David Rains tells the "STORY" much better than I can!)
This is the contraption consisting of conduit, under water camera and ice scooper held together with electrical tape (should have used DUCT TAPE) used to try to fish for cell phone UNSUCCESSFULLY!

Philip and his friend Nat went to Mille Lacs for two days

Nat working all the gadgits

Good thing the pesky perch kept them busy because the walleyes didn't!
